Plato Suffered an Injury
Plato is a big 16.3 19yo Dutch warm blood who suffered an injury coming down the ramp 3 years ago. Ever since that incident he never felt quite right behind, losing balance and rhythm in his mediums and extensions. Flying changes to the left were always more jerky than to the right.

I just wanted to email you, to let you know how impressed I am with Step Free the calmer. It has proven very effective in helping horses that hold tension in their backs. Once the horses are less tight and holding, they feel more flexible and allow the riders in, so they can be more effective. I have found it very helpful in breaking the cycle of tension and tightness in some horses.

Canna is my 15 year old mare (Andulusian X Belgium warmblood) who pulled the suspensory tendon in her near fore about two years ago. She was noticeably lame and had heat in the damaged area. She was kept in for 4 weeks and had a course of bute for 4 months, along with ultra sound therapy on her leg. In September 2010 I contacted Alex on recommendation by a friend and opted to try the Hack Blend. I knew that giving bute long term has serious side effects and was very keen to try something alternative yet equally as powerful. Canna started on a loading dose (60g/day) for the first four days and then had 30g for the next 30 days. I was thrilled to report to Alex that the heat had gone and that Canna was sound. I was naturally loathed to change her supplementation as it was obviously having the desired effect, but I was able to reduce the level fed to just 15g per day for a further 6 months, still achieving soundness. At this point I had a long discussion with Alex about the options available and we felt confident to change to a Bespoke supplement containing 75% pure Glucosamine HCL and 25% MSM. Alex reassured me that Canna would feel any pain as there was no anti-inflammatories in the formula so there was no chance of her doing more harm as we slowly increased the excercise regime. It is also reasuring to know that if I required pain killing herbs that Alex would be able to add them to the formula within a couple of days. I am 'touching wood' when I say this but Canna is looking and feeling very well as we go into this winter and I have every confidence that she will remain sound as her workload is increased in 2012.
